This isn't a Cinderella story.

There is no magic carriage at the end and there definately aren't any magic slippers that can whisp you away to a better life. Everything in this story is real. Everything in this story is proven by hard work, sweat and yes even sometimes...tears.


What I have learned over the years is that to be successful...I mean really successful, you have to be able to bend the reality of what you know into something else that you aren't 100% sure of, and be able to trust that the new perception that you now have is 100% correct and right for you.


Yes, to answer your question, it is easier said than done to just jump out there on a leap of faith. This is exactly what I did. I jumped out and in a BIG way! I didn't even look at what I was jumping into until I was on the way down the cliff. But I knew I had to change something about me and my practice if I had any chance at all of making my rent from month to month.


Times were tough and a daily struggle was commonplace. I had the hardest time figuring out how to get patients to come in and stay, pay and refer. Sure I could get patients in every week, but the fact is, that I couldn't get much out of them. Meaning that the life of my patient in the office was very short lived, maybe only a couple of months on average, and that wasn't cutting it.


That is what sparked me into action to learn "new ways" to market my Chiropractic practice. I say "new ways" to market because at the point of my revelation I had already been doing spinal screenings about 2-3 times per week with about as much success as I could get, had my run around with management companies, and had given up completely on the fact that my sign outside my building or in the yellow pages would ever produce anything resembling a patient that would make me money. I wanted to change the entire marketing process to something that really worked, and that would work for long extended periods of time.


With my new found anxiety about getting out of the rut I was in, I did something that was completely crazy. I cancelled all of the spinal screenings and other engagements I had set up for the rest of the month and went to work. I jumped on the Internet and started to research successful businesses in the world to see if there was a trend to their huge amounts of success.


In the process I ran across a guy named Dan Kennedy, dubbed "The Millionaire Maker" due to his great success in creative marketing for business owners. Then I recognized another man named Bob Proctor, who just so happens to be the world's most renowned life coach and wealth generator of all time.


I am not kidding when I say this, but I learned more about marketing, presentation and approach, closing techniques and personal development in a span of about 3 months studying these business tycoons than I learned in all my years of college and education combined. I could not believe how easy it was to create the business I always wanted and to be able to live the lifestyle worthy of a doctor's title. I also learned that what we as Chiropractors are being taught in regards to running a successful practice isn't even hitting the tip of the iceberg.


Success has to do with letting go of everything you thought you knew before, stop going with the flow of what everyone is doing and being able to apply outside-the-box marketing startegies to your business.


I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be great if these techniques could be applied to the Chiropractic profession!"


Well you are reading and exploring that very statement. I have taken the last solid year constructing an effective marketing system for Chiropractors to market their clinic in ways that have never been widely accepted by other doctors and management companies. They have never been accepted maily for the reasons of ignorance and greed. Ignorance because they do not want to learn anything new because they think they know everything, and greed because if they did do something new they wouldn't be able to sell you their products.


I invite you to enter my world. A world of complete freedom and practicing the way that you want...and having fun doing it. A world where money isn't a problem and patients will seek you out to see if you can help them. A world a doctor should live in everyday.


Do not be fooled any longer. A change is coming to our profession and you have 2 choices when it arrives:

1.   Adapt to a new style of marketing that will attract   
      quality patients to you without chasing


2.  
Crash and burn by continuing to use old-fashioned 
      techniques that people aren't attracted to


It isn't a hard decision when you think about it that way. But the decision is still ultimately up to you.
